HB19-1045 Passes its First Committee!

We had members from the Office of Public Guardianship commission, Colorado Hospital Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, Denver Health, and other professional associations who are directly impacted by our state’s lack of an institution to look after indigent and incapacitated adults testify in support of this bill.

Channel 9News had a camera crew there to film the hearing.

Despite some opposing testimony and concerns from the committee regarding funding for the pilot program, the bill passed through committee 9-1.

The bill will now move on to the Appropriations committee before it can be heard on the House Floor.
